This td. is situated in the south-east corner of the parish. It is bounded on the N. by the td. of Tobernadarry, and on the E., S. and W. by the phs. of Kilmainemore and Shruel. It contains 372a Or. 16. (4a. 1r. 8p. water) .
It is the property of Gunwell French, Esq., and is held by Charles Kirwan, Esq., on a lease of 999 years at the yearly rent of £1 8s. 6d. per Irish acre. Mr. Kirwan sublets a part at from 20s. to 33s.6d. per acre, yearly. The soil is part light, and part wet clay; it provides good grazing. Farms are in size from 1 1/2 to 140 acres. The tenants are Roman Catholics. There are here two ancient forts, one of which is in the west side of the td. and the other in the north side.
