Welcome to Shrule parish website and thank you for visiting. Shrule parish located in the south of county Mayo; is a parish of the diocese of Galway owning to ecclesiastical history. Located on Lough Corrib, the parish stretches inland.
St.Joseph’s , Shrule
The parish has two churches – St. Joseph’s in Shrule village, and a second church – the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Glencorrib. Each has it own distinct identity and proud tradition, which enriches the wider community. Working independently or together, the faith community around these church’s brings what St. Paul wrote to the Corinthians 12:12-13 very much to life;

For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—and all were made to drink of one Spirit.
