What is Required:
· Each family is required to fill out the Baptismal form & to return it before the baptism.
· Each family is asked to bring the christening shawl and baptismal candle.
· A copy of the child’s birth certificate.
· If you wish to participate in the baptism, please choose from the options provided:
o 1 reader for Scripture (Reader 1)
o 1 reader for the Psalm (Reader 2)
o Readers for the Prayers of the Faithful
(Please feel free to print of the chosen readings & arrange those whom you wish to do the readings – note there can be 1 person to do the Prayers of the Faithful or can be 1 person for each Prayer of the Faithful)
Godparents
Please note that godparents are required to be baptised Catholics at least 16 years of age, who have also received the Sacraments of Eucharist & Confirmation
Baptised non-Catholics may stand as a Christian witness, but there must be at least ONE sponsor who is a baptised Catholic.
