After meetings were held in Glencorrib, the follow needs emerged:
1. Glencorrib National School – prospect of losing a teacher & in danger of closing
2. Need for church car park in Glencorrib
3. Widening of Service Road to provide safer & better access to the local community field.
Work is now nearing completion regarding all three objectives.
This has been achieved with the cooperation of a number of bodies from Mayo County Council to RSS to LEADER & Shrule/Glencorrib GAA as well as Community Field Trustees & sub-committee, along with financial contributions from the parish faith community.
Thanks is due to everyone involved, and hope in looking at the works carried out, people feel proud of what has been achieved.
