Renovations update for 2024 to 2025
The pictures show the outcome of works that were carried out in Shrule Church over the period of 2024 and 2025 when the dry lining of the old section of the building was removed, the exposed stone cleaned and pointed. Upon completion of this, the timber ceiling of the old section of the church was painted along with the main body of the church. This was then followed by removal of the old carpet, and the cleaning and lacquering of the old timber floor from the 1930s.

Renovation of Shrule church , drainage etc…
As many are aware work has begun on renovation of Shrule church.
The immediate task was to carry out essential work such as installing a new sound system, and then drying out the building by eliminating so far as possible sources of dampness, while at the same time carrying out restoration and renovation.

Immaculate Conception, Glencorrib
Work is now nearing completion regarding all objectives.
This has been achieved with the cooperation of a number of bodies from Mayo County Council to RSS to LEADER & Shrule/Glencorrib GAA as well as Community Field Trustees & sub-committee, along with financial contributions from the parish faith community.
